What we are "Makerspace? What's a makerspace!?" Our Makerspace: Collaborative workspaces, equipment and programs Hands-on environment for creativity, exploration, and skill-building A place for community to create ideas into creation, contribute to a culture of local innovation, and to have fun! KzooMakers is a volunteer operated 501(c)(3) public charity: charitable contributions include community development, economic development, and educational-supporting resources for Kalamazoo and surrounding communities. Space: The KzooMakers facility is subdivided into areas called Zones. Each zone contains equipment and programs supporting the zone. Equipmenet highlights include: Cabinet level woodshop PACKED: including large jointer, planer, drum sander, wide belt sander, bandsaws, tables saws, lathes, several CNC machines, etc. Electronics room PACKED with equipment and supplies Multiple laser cutters and engravers up to 120 watts, up to 49in wide Manual and cnc mills, metal lathe, welding, sandblasting and more Multiple FDM 3D printers, aprox 80 rolls of filament A lot..... lot more Programs: KzooMakers, members, and select guests operate various programs such as meetups, workshops and events at our space.
